Round 4 Jinxe
Jinxe glanced up at the sky as she sat on the roof. She sighed, people had been taken from the organization and she felt at fault for one of them. She clenched her hands into fists which rested on her lap. "Dammit, what kind of tournament has this turned out to be?" she muttered. She stared at her hands and sighed again. "Sorry, Xarson, it's my fault that Xurcats got caught" she muttered silently.
"What's your fault?" a voice asked behind her.
Jinxe jumped to her feet and glared at the person behind her only to relax, "You're…Dryxer, right?" she asked. He had somewhat short messy blonde hair and dull green eyes, he also had darker skin than her.
Dryxer nodded, "That's me"
Jinxe sighed, he was suppose to be one of the ones who were going to help her get back…Starlix it was. She sat back down, "Nothing" she told him.
"Hmmm" he mused as he sat down beside her.
She turned to him, "Anyone else joining?"
Dryxer shook his head, "I don't think so, the others seem to have stopped"
Jinxe nodded, "So it's only us huh?" she got up again, "Well, let's get going"
Dryxer nodded as he stood up as well. The two portal to the world of their taken comrade, Empire of Groove.

As the two appeared, Jinxe realized that her outfit didn't change this time but she could have sworn that this world had clothes that weren't as complex as theirs. Something was wrong with this world. She glanced at Dryxer to see that he had realized the same. She may not have met him before but she was glad that she wasn't alone of this mission.
She looked forward to see a long wooden and rope bridge crossing a large chasm. She glanced down into the chasm, "Nice" she muttered as she stared at the tall drop. She looked across the chasm.
"You think Starlix would be in that palace over there?" Dryxer asked her as he pointed to the palace across the chasm.
"It's worth a shot" Jinxe nodded, "It's quite a ways" she glanced at him, "You up to walking?"
He nodded and the two transverse across the somewhat unstable rope bridge. They had safely made it across the bridge but they weren't safe yet.
"Watch out!" Jinxe shouted as a large jaguar jumped out of the brush to tackle Dryxer. Jinxe dashed with her extra boost of light and tackled Dryxer to the ground as the jaguar sailed over them and slid across the ground upon its landing. But it slid too far and fell into the chasm. Jinxe got up and helped Dryxer to his feet.
"That jaguar looked odd" Dryxer commented.
Jinxe nodded, "Must have been one of those infected" She turned to the woods that seemed to guard the palace. "Let's get moving, can you run?"
Dryxer nodded and the two took off towards the palace through the woods. Jinxe realized that after a bit, she was going to lose Dryxer so she slowed down a bit. She must have been using her ability without realizing it. After a while, the two made it to the gates of the palace. Jinxe tested her weight against one of the large doors and it opened easily.
"Too easy…" Jinxe muttered as she stepped into the palace with Dryxer right behind her. She glanced around and then turned suddenly when the door they had opened slammed shut. Standing there were what appeared to be guards but they weren't guards anymore. They all appeared to be shaded black with a glowing yellow aura. They had bright glowing yellow eyes and the blackness around them appeared to hover around them, stretching out towards them. "Not good…"
Dryxer pulled out his line, it looked similar to that of a whip and was black. Jinxe nodded her understanding and pulled out Spirit Seeker from its hiding place upon her back.
They were now surrounded by these infected guards and Jinxe had no clue as to where they would find Starlix. Jinxe battled through the infected, careful not to get touched by any of it and reached what appeared to be stairs, leading downward. The dungeons, of course.
"Dryxer! Over here!" she called as she pushed back some of the infected guards, they weren't very good in a fight. Jinxe opened a path by casting a trial of light over the infected, which caused them to scurry away from the light. Dryxer ran over and the two dashed downstairs. Jinxe glanced about, searching for their comrade.
"Starlix!" Dryxer called and the two heard a moan from deep in the dungeons. The two ran down and found her chained to a wall.
"Bunch of jerks" Jinxe muttered, she was starting to really dislike this Preacher dude. Jinxe slammed Spirit Seeker against the lock of the door and smashed it to bits. "Grab her, we need to get out!"
Dryxer ran in and began to try unchaining their fellow member.
Jinxe walked a bit back down the dungeon and stood guard, just in case the guards thought to come down here. Dryxer came out with Starlix on his back, it looked like it was painful to him but he didn't complain so Jinxe just didn't say anything. She raised her hand and tried to make a portal back to the organization but nothing appeared.
"What?" she gasped and tried again, nothing happened, "No way, I can't make a portal in here" she told him.
"Must be the palace. We need to get outside" Dryxer told her through gritted teeth.
Jinxe nodded, she had hoped to not worry about those guards while Dryxer was occupied with carrying Starlix and Starlix being unconscious but it seemed that they would have to go back the way they came. "Stay close to me" she told him, she wasn't used to being in charge but she knew that she had to. She rushed ahead of him just to make sure that none of the guards attack him while in the dungeons. Once they got to the stairs from behind, she slowly walked up with Dryxer right behind her. The two made it to the top and found the room empty.
Dryxer stepped out with Jinxe right behind him, "What the…?"
They both were thinking it, where had those infected guards gone? Then the two heard laughter, and it wasn't the good kind. Jinxe turned sharply to find a thin ugly woman looking the same as the guards. She had some guards with her and this large lug who trotting towards them. Jinxe kept Spirit Seeker at the ready, just in case as she glanced at the door behind the infected woman.
"Dryxer, I'll distract them and you run for the door. I'll make sure none of them touch you" Jinxe told him as she rushed towards the lug.
Dryxer nodded and ran around all the infected, heading towards the door. Some of the guards tried to go after him but Jinxe sent a shot of light at them, pushing them away from him.
"You're fight is with me" she muttered as she held Spirit Seeker in a fighting stance. As she fought them, she saw Dryxer push the door open and slip out. Jinxe sighed and started to push them away from her but they just kept coming. Jinxe felt that soon they would be all over her. She sighed as she gathered her light energy and then channeled into a blast of light, emitting from her body. It pushed them off her and she dashed for the open door. The guards went to follow her but she sent another blast of light at them, her blinding attack and she rushed out.
"Jinxe!" Dryxer called a little ways from the palace.
Jinxe rushed over, "She alright?"
"I don't know" he muttered as he laid Starlix on the ground.
Jinxe glanced and noticed something black on Starlix's sleeve, "Get that jacket off" she told Dryxer, "Be careful not to touch the right sleeve"
As the two took off the infected jacket, the two braced Starlix between them.
"Let's just get out of here" Dryxer muttered.
Jinxe agreed, they got their comrade back and she didn't like being in an infected world, it was like even the air was different. She raised her hand and summoned a portal into existence and the two walked through it but right before the portal closed behind them, the two saw this dark form watching them and it resemble what they had saw on the TV before.
Jinxe closed her eyes tightly as the portal closed and they appeared in the DLV building. It's all my fault.
